D.C. stands for David Creighton, who was the founder of D.C. Taylor Jewelers. In a tragic fishing accident, D.C.'s only son Creighton perished. At the time, Creighton had one son, David Jr. David Jr. was only 14 at the time of his father's death, so he could not take over the family business just yet since his father was being groomed before his untimely and premature death. At the ripe age of 20 years, though, D.C. thought David Jr. was old enough to join the family business, and hired the young buck to work alongside him in the family jewelry store. David Jr. had five children- four of them boys - who would eventually take over the daily operations of the family business. There are three locations today that the four boys run together since their grandfather's retirement.

This fourth generation company is truly an amazing story. Not too many businesses make it to the fourth generation! The Taylor's are a lucky bunch to have such a hardworking and dedicated family who support one another in this successful endeavor.
