Bob Montgomery founded Traditional Jewelers in Jackson Mississippi in 1975. Not only did he have a passion for jewelry and the business, he saw that all around him stores were forgetting the art of customer service. People were treating it as just another shopping experience, an alarming trend personified by the sterile mall stores where the people behind the counter were salespeople and not jewelers. Bob knew that buying loose diamonds and other fine jewelry was often the most important purchase a person was ever going to make. At the very least it represented an important time in that person’s life, whether it be a young man getting ready to pop the question, an older couple celebrating a milestone anniversary or a grateful boss thanking a dedicated employee for their years of service. That was why from the very beginning he set his stores out to be different from everything else ... a chance to get away from the grind of day-to-day life.

To this day, Bob and his staff take their time with each customer. Instead of rushing them to make a decision, they explain what all of their different options are, showing them several different items from their collections, and asking questions to make sure their customer will be wholly satisfied with their purchase. If any problems should ever if rarely arise with their jewelry, Traditional Jewelers has the trained staff to make any repairs, remount any loose stones, as well as offer cleaning services, to make sure that the jewelry always looks as beautiful as it did the day it was purchased.
