PLEASE KNOW THAT THE FREE PREFERRED JEWELERS WARRANTY IS NOT INSURANCE AND DOES NOT COVER LOSS, THEFT OR DAMAGE

PREFERRED FREE LIFETIME WARRANTY COVERAGE INCLUDES;

1) FREE LIFETIME MAINTENANCE: Jewelry items must be in perfect, like new or new condition to be eligible for the Preferred Warranty. To keep the warranty valid, you are required to visit any jeweler in the Preferred Jeweler Network, every 6 months to have your jewelry inspected and maintained. All visits will be notated in the Preferred Website Database. Customers and retailers will be notified by email 30 days before and again 14 days before their inspection “due date.” Having work done on jewelry items out of the Preferred Network can void a warranty unless authorized by Preferred Headquarters. Please ensure that you have a valid email address on file. 
Should a warranty show as lapsed, the retailer may then charge the customer to bring the item back into warrantable condition and then be able to update and reinstate the warranty.

2) DIAMOND COVERAGE
*: If no observable damage has occurred to the jewelry item and prongs are in perfect new or “like new” condition, Preferred Jewelers will replace a round natural mined or lab grown diamond or moissanite (up to .20ctw) at no charge to customers. *Excluding Fancy Cut Shapes, Fancy Color, and Invisible Set Rings and any diamonds that have come out of the ring due to damage to the ring or prongs.
*In instances where Rhodium Plating is required, a charge may be incurred. 

3) LIFETIME RESIZING
*: After the initial sizing of your ring at purchase, when possible, a Preferred Jeweler will provide re-sizing of your ring 1X per year. Some rings are not sizable, especially if there is a large size difference or if it will compromise the integrity of your ring.  *Excluding Eternity Bands and Invisible Set Jewelry.

4) MINOR RE-TIPPING OF PRONGS
*: Thorough inspection of all prongs, channel and setting work is provided to assure none of your diamonds move in any way. If all prongs are in good condition but starting to show accelerated signs of wear, this warranty will cover the minor re-tipping of 1-2 prongs to keep a stone(s) secure. If there is a high number of worn prongs, or if prongs are damaged or broken, those repairs fall outside the scope of the Preferred Jewelers Warranty. If there is snagging or sharp edges on prongs or you have bumped or hit the ring accidentally, or notice a stone is loose, please bring your ring into the closest Preferred Jeweler to have it inspected and repaired as soon as possible. *In instances where stones need to be removed to re-tip the prongs (ex: Clarity enhanced diamonds or fragile gemstones), a charge will be incurred. *In the instances where Rhodium is required, a charge may be incurred.

“We highly value the sentiment of your jewelry. This is a limited lifetime warranty. Your Preferred Jeweler may recommend rebuilding (or reconstructing) your setting, for an additional cost, to preserve the value and integrity of your jewelry and to be able to maintain your warranty.”

5) LIFETIME INSPECTIONS AND CLEANING: A thorough microscopic inspection will be provided along with steam and ultrasonic cleaning will be used to keep your jewelry in pristine condition.
                         
6) TIGHTENING OF DIAMONDS: Preferred recommends and requires that you visit your Preferred Retailer every 6 months to have your items throughly inspected to check for any loose diamonds and perform any necessary adjustments.

7) PREFERRED WARRANTIES are not transferable to another person. Please visit your Preferred Retailer to see if your jewelry is eligible for a new warranty.                      

 * The Free Preferred Warranty is a Limited Lifetime Maintenance Warranty. Criteria for issuing a warranty varies by retailer.

Life is unpredictable. In the event you lose your center stone or the entire piece of jewelry, a jewelry care plan or insurance is the best way to have it replaced. Please make sure you are covered by insurance for those unpredictable moments in life.

Can I look up my warranty? If you'd like to look up your warranty information please go to our home page and Click on the FIND YOUR WARRANTY tab in the navagation bar in the header. Enter your warranty number and last name and submit.

What if my warranty is showing as lapsed? Should a warranty show as lapsed and the jewelry is not in like-new or new condition, the retailer may then charge the customer to bring the item back into warrantable condition and then be able to update and reinstate the warranty. If there are no repairs needed and / or the warranty was mistakenly not updated on the customers last visit, then after a thorough inspection showing the jewelry in perfect condition, the warranty can be updated again which will put it back in good standing. If there are special circumstances in place, ie, pregnancy, military personnel or illness etc. please call Preferred so we can assist you further.

Where can I have my ring serviced if I move? Customers can easily find another Preferred location by clicking on the tab titled Nationwide Presence on the Preferred website. There is a full list by state or an interactive map. Once you open the map you can  enter your current zip code in the search box, click search and the closest retailer will pop up. Then just click on the address and it will open in a larger Google map and show you exactly how far away you are from them. What happens if I move to a new location with no Preferred Jeweler near me? If you move to a new location where there is no Preferred Jeweler and you need service, please contact Preferred Headquarters by calling our toll free number 888-998-8874 and we will advise you on how to proceed.

What happens if I lose a diamond? The Nationwide Warranty covers the replacement of any missing round diamonds up to 0.20 ctw. If you lose a diamond, take your ring into the nearest Preferred Jeweler. If you are going to a new location make sure you know your warranty number. You can call Preferred Headquarters so we can help you. As long as your warranty is in good standing, the proper steps will be taken in order to assure that jewelry is repaired. If no observable damage has occurred to the jewelry item and prongs are in perfect new or “like new” condition, Preferred Jewelers will replace a round natural mined or lab grown diamond or moissanite (up to .20ct) at no charge to customers. *Excluding fancy cut shapes, fancy color, and Invisible Set Rings, as well any diamonds that have come out of the ring due to damage to the ring or prongs. *In instances where Rhodium Plating is required, a charge may be incurred. 

What if a customer can't find their warranty card? Not to worry... any Preferred Jeweler can access your information in their Preferred dashboard by the customers last name and warranty number. You can also called Preferred Headquarters and we will look up your warranty number for you in the database.

Preferred Nationwide Warranty Coverage: If service is required simply go to a Preferred Jeweler and covered services will be repaired and serviced at no charge.

To maintain the validity of the FREE Preferred Warranty, customers will be required to bring their jewelry into a Preferred Jeweler of choice, every 6 months to be fully serviced, inspected and updated on the Preferred Retailer Database. A comprehensive examination of the item will be performed at that time. In addition to the inspection, the jewelry item will be thoroughly cleaned using ultrasonic and steam and viewed microscopically to look for any damage or concerns. 

When you are going in for your 6 month Preferred inspections, please be sure to inform the retailer that you are there for your Preferred 6 month inspection and not just a routine cleaning. Every service visit will be recorded in the Preferred Jewelers International database to document and maintain the life and journey of your special jewelry item. Whenever a warranty is updated in the database the next inspection due date will be 6 months from that date.
