G.M. Pollack and Sons was founded when Gerald and his wife, Perle, purchased their first jewelry store in Portland, Maine in 1955. A philosophy of offering quality jewelry at the best prices existed. After Gerald’s passing in 1999, son Stan took over as President and continued the tradition.
Under Stan’s leadership the business grew to include twelve stores throughout Maine and one in New Hampshire. Stan Pollack retired in 2008 and in April of 2009, a group of employees enthusiastically purchased the company from the Pollack family.
We are truly honored to be Maine’s first employee-owned jewelry chain; we look forward to a promising future.
G.M. Pollack still takes pride in our friendly service which has been the tradition for 54 years; continuing strong relationships with our customers in this wonderful jewelry industry.
