D.C. Taylor is known for their unique jewelry designs. They feature outstanding quality in Certified Diamonds, Engagement Rings, Wedding Bands and Loose Diamonds at reasonable prices in Collingwood, Barrie and Owen Sound, ON, Ontario of Canada.
The story and history of D.C. Jewellers is that of perseverance and dedication to a craft this family was born to do. It is through this amazing and heartfelt story we understand how and why this company has won the hearts of so many customers and is able to be the premier diamond engagement ring retailer in Ontario, Canada.
D.C. stands for David Creighton, who was the founder of D.C. Taylor Jewelers. In a tragic fishing accident, D.C.'s only son Creighton perished. At the time, Creighton had one son, David Jr. David Jr. was only 14 at the time of his father's death, so he could not take over the family business just yet since his father was being groomed before his untimely and premature death. At the ripe age of 20 years, though, D.C. thought David Jr. was old enough to join the family business, and hired the young buck to work alongside him in the family jewelry store. David Jr. had five children- four of them boys - who would eventually take over the daily operations of the family business. There are three locations today that the four boys run together since their grandfather's retirement.
This fourth generation company is truly an amazing story. Not too many businesses make it to the fourth generation! The Taylor's are a lucky bunch to have such a hardworking and dedicated family who support one another in this successful endeavor. As you walk into one of their glorious showrooms, you will see designer wedding bands such as Tacori, Simon G. and Honora. Not only do they sell the finest of fine jewelry in their showroom, they also carry Waterford Crystal and other lavish giftware. They also have an exquisite collection of loose diamonds. Not only do they supply the finest stones available, they will also help you design a beautiful unique setting as well.
This fifth generation of Taylor's are even getting in on the fun from time to time! Their ages range from 3 to 24 and they can be spotted in the store doing part-time work or gift wrapping around the holiday season. What a truly magical experience to have four generations all working together toward a common goal- all with the same passion and zest for life in the jewelry industry.
